Disney's Pixar Animation Studio has released a new animated short titles "Out."
Out tells the story of Greg and his difficulties in coming out to his parents about his relationship with his boyfriend, Manuel. Greg's parents make a surprise visit on his moving day and scrambles to hide evidence of his relationship. However, and intervention by a pair of magical fairy god-pets helps to guide him out of the closet.
The short is written and directed by Stephen Clay Hunter, and according to the opening titles, based on a true story.
Out is currently streaming on Disney+, and is its first animation featuring a gay lead. Check out a promotional trailer below.
